چکیده
Abstract Usually, the Jejunal diverticula appeared multiple and vary in size. These false lack muscular coat of normal intestinal walls, most patients presented with it were asymptomatic. Although 10% all develop complications such as perforation, obstruction, or bleeding, which then requires surgical intervention, but bleeding is relatively rare among these complications. A case 74 years old lady was referred to our hospital because persistent hematemesis fresh melena. Her previous recent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy both revealed only gastric erosions without any active bleeding. Enterotomy performed, enteroscopy confirmed ulceration at site. Resection portion containing primary anastomosis done, this cured patient. The histopathological examination specimen showed an ulcerative lesion exposed suggestive incidence rare, important look for lesions Keywords: diverticulum, small intestine,

ArterioVenous Malformation within Jejunal Diverticulum: An Unusual Cause of Massive Gastrointestinal Bleeding
Massive gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding can occur with multiple jejunal diverticulosis. However, significant bleeding in the setting of few diverticulae is very unusual and rare. We report a case of massive gastrointestinal bleeding from an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) within a jejunal diverticulum to underscore the significance of such coexisting pathologies. Mesenteric angiogram was chosen...
متن کاملMassive lower gastrointestinal bleeding from a jejunal Dieulafoy lesion.
Dieulafoy lesion should be considered in massive gastrointestinal bleeding that may be difficult to localize. If the endoscopic and angiographic approaches fail, surgery must be considered according to the patient's clinical condition within an appropriate time. Although mostly seen in the stomach of old male patients with co-morbidities, here we presented a Dieulafoy lesion in the jejunum of a...
متن کاملMassive lower gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to colonic mucormycosis.
Lower gastrointestinal bleeding is usually due to haemorrhoids, diverticular disease, or colorectal cancer. Infective causes of gastrointestinal bleeding are rare. A 70-year-old lady was admitted with septic shock secondary to community acquired pneumonia. She later developed massive lower gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to colonic mucormycosis. Her condition deteriorated rapidly and she di...
متن کاملGastrointestinal Bleeding Secondary to Calciphylaxis.
BACKGROUND Calciphylaxis is associated with a high mortality that approaches 80%. The diagnosis is usually made when obvious skin lesions (painful violaceous mottling of the skin) are present. However, visceral involvement is rare. We present a case of calciphylaxis leading to lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding and rectal ulceration of the GI mucosa. CASE REPORT A 66-year-old woman with past ...
متن کاملBleeding Jejunal GIST: An uncommon cause of Gastrointestinal Bleeding.
Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) are rare gastrointestinal tumours and are one of the causes of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. We report a case of massive gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to bleeding jejunal GIST in a 43 years old gentleman. Endoscopic intervention failed to identify the source of bleeding and CT Angiography (CTA) showed a jejunal mass and patient underwent laparo...
